On an educational farm children play, have fun, pet the animals they have always seen in books, but above all they discover many new and stimulating things with originality and creativity.
Children will understand the origin of food, or simply experience contact with nature and animals.

But what is an educational farm? An educational farm is an agritourism business that organizes active educational activities, dedicated above all to children and young people. The activities are led by specialized staff and aim to introduce the youngest ones to the activities carried out on the farm, involving them in the making of a typical product or in other activities, such as harvesting fruit and vegetable products.
Do you know where educational farms were born? The very first farms, where country life is taught to those who live in the city, were born in the Scandinavian countries, in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Little by little the idea of creating farms for this type of activity spread over time toward the south, reaching the Mediterranean countries around the 1970s. In Italy the first real project of this kind was born only in 1967 thanks to Alimos, a company made up of agronomists and agricultural technicians that aims to encourage innovation processes in the fruit and vegetable sector, support environmental protection and spread a new food culture.
